My husband and I have been going back and forth on the name Nikken. Just curious what other people's opinions on this name? Cute? Or nah too out there/uncommon?

Not sure how it’s pronounced? Neek-in, Nick-in? Is it a real name from a different culture or just made up? I’d prefer Nico.

I have never heard of the name Nikken before. I assume it is pronounced Nick-en and find it displeasing to the ear. IMO, it sounds slightly better pronounced Neek-en, but Keenan is a far better choice.

Nick-in? I don’t know I’ve never heard of it before. It either seems like a super rare unique name which is something I usually love… Or it sounds like a completely trendy made up mishmash type of name so the opposite of unique and uncommon. In this case either way I don’t think it has a very flattering sound. It sounds kind of like the name of a gadget of some sort or it makes me think of a Nikon camera

Thanks for the input, I was pretty on the fence with it but I'm really leaning to a no now. So one less name on the list to decide from.
And we had heard this name, and thought it was just a more popular name in more northern European countries. But turns out not a common name there either haha.

Imo it’s a bit too similar to the brand Nikon, sorry. But I love some similar names, like Nick, Nicholas, & Nico.
