https://www.thomann.de/fr/rme_digiface_usb.htm
https://www.audiophonics.fr/fr/amplificateurs-full-digital-fda/smsl-ad18-v31-amplificateur-fda-bluetooth-nfc-tas5342a-2x-70w-sortie-subwoofer-4-ohm-p-11498.html

https://www.audiophonics.fr/fr/modules-amplificateurs/hypex-fusionamp-fa122-module-amplificateur-ncore-2x125w-dsp-adau1450-dac-ak4454-192khz-p-13530.html

https://www.minidsp.com/products/acoustic-measurement/umik-1
https://www.minidsp.com/products/acoustic-measurement/umik-2

https://eu.store.bambulab.com/fr-fr/products/a1?variant=47554015691100&gad_source=1

https://github.com/SoftFever/OrcaSlicer/releases/download/v2.1.1/OrcaSlicer_Windows_Installer_V2.1.1.exe

ENGLISH:

You can follow the progress of my projects and listen to the speakers here:
https://linktr.ee/Rench2010

Omnidirectional bass reflex speaker, based on 1 full-range speaker and a soft dome tweeter. The speaker is designed to be used on the floor or on a desk. That's why I decided to have the tweeter radiate towards the ceiling rather than the floor, as seen in other omnidirectional speakers.

All of this while trying to have a design that stands out.

Dimensions: 28.6 x 56.8 cm

This configuration requires active correction, either:
- Budget-friendly solution: via PC and RME Digiface USB along with 2x SMSL AD18 (or other Integer and FDA amplifiers):
https://www.thomann.de/fr/rme_digiface_usb.htm
https://www.audiophonics.fr/fr/amplificateurs-full-digital-fda/smsl-ad18-v31-amplificateur-fda-bluetooth-nfc-tas5342a-2x-70w-sortie-subwoofer-4-ohm-p-11498.html

https://www.audiophonics.fr/fr/dsp-processeurs-av/minidsp-2x4-hd-intefacefiltre-numerique-firdac-24bit-192khz-p-10813.html

For beginners, you can use a simple band equalizer software to adjust the speaker’s sound to your preference by ear in a few minutes. For advanced correction, use a measurement microphone such as UMIK-1 or UMIK-2:
https://www.minidsp.com/products/acoustic-measurement/umik-1
https://www.minidsp.com/products/acoustic-measurement/umik-2

If you don’t have a 3D printer, you can use this printer, which was used to create this pair of speakers:
https://eu.store.bambulab.com/fr-fr/products/a1?variant=47554015691100&gad_source=1

The parts were sliced using the Orca Slicer software:
https://github.com/SoftFever/OrcaSlicer/releases/download/v2.1.1/OrcaSlicer_Windows_Installer_V2.1.1.exe

Included in the provided files is the project in .3mf format, preconfigured for a BambuLab A1 printer.

! Read the instructions first to prepare the necessary materials!

PRINTING AND ASSEMBLING ELEMENTS

As for the filament (10 kg for the pair), I recommend the recycled filaments (PETG, PLA, ABS) from Ariane Plast, which will cost you between €100 and €160 for 10 kg.
https://www.arianeplast.com/58-3d-filament-recycle

1/ Print the different parts. (Print only one vent, and swap it if needed during the speaker correction process).

2/ After printing, cut and place 5 mm self-adhesive bitumen on the walls and internal reinforcements, preheating it for better adhesion:
https://www.audiophonics.fr/fr/amortissants/pinta-amortson-bi10a-phd-amortissant-bitume-auto-adhesif-400x500mm-p-5408.html

3/ Glue the 4 large blocks together (magnet slots for 9 x 2 mm magnets are provided to help align the parts in the bambu.3mf):
https://amzn.eu/d/064ddSz

3/ Glue the 2 parts of the rear terminal with strong glue, then use fiberglass putty to reinforce the joint:
https://amzn.eu/d/2n9BmCG
https://www.peinturevoiture.fr/2138-mastic-fibre-verre-ecar-ep340.html

4/ Drill the mounting holes for the SPH60X speaker using the speaker’s mounting holes as a guide:
https://amzn.eu/d/8tChUgN
The tweeter will be sandwiched between the printed parts and the seals.

POST-PROCESSING AND PAINTING
5/ Post-process the printed parts using:

Sandpaper:
https://amzn.eu/d/1fWJFOc
Fiberglass putty to fill in gaps at the joints:
https://www.peinturevoiture.fr/2138-mastic-fibre-verre-ecar-ep340.html
and spatulas:
https://www.peinturevoiture.fr/1372-spatule-mastic-inox.html
Fine putty or filler spray to fill in print lines:
https://www.peinturevoiture.fr/4852-mastic-tres-fin-upol-extra-gold.html
or
https://www.peinturevoiture.fr/2328-appret-bombe-ecar-gris-moyen-400ml.html
6/ Apply your paint to the various elements (masking tape can help):
https://amzn.eu/d/9zbQHgW

SPEAKERS, MOUNTING, TERMINAL BLOCK
7/ Cut and glue the seals using the printed parts:
https://amzn.eu/d/3EbyAPS
https://amzn.eu/d/7FKZ7an
https://amzn.eu/d/gxOombh

8/ Place a seal under the “LB diffuser” (reinforced or standard version based on your preference) and screw the SPH60X in a way that pinches the seal:
https://amzn.eu/d/cB98TV5

9/ Wire the SPH60X (space is provided in the top of the “chassis” for cable routing; allow enough length for the cables to reach the terminal):
https://www.thomann.de/fr/monacor_sph60x.htm
Cables:
https://amzn.eu/d/1lkiFi2

10/ Optional: if you're using a removable terminal block:
https://amzn.eu/d/69SzvZm

Assemble the terminal and thread the cable through the back plate, leaving enough slack to reach the inside of the speaker.

DAMPING
11/ Once everything is assembled, you can adjust the damping based on your preference and room acoustics. For this, I recommend experimenting with different damping materials and configurations to find what works best for your environment.

FINISHED!

Note: I'm available to help you with calibration, setup, and any questions you may have about this project. You can reach out to me through the contact link provided earlier in this guide.

Good luck, and enjoy your sound experience!
